Frequently Asked Questions

How secure is my journal data?

Your data is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to any server. When you enable password protection, your journal is secured with encryption. For maximum security, enable both password and biometric authentication.

What if I forget my password?

Unfortunately, there is no password recovery option. This is a security measure to ensure your journal remains private. If you forget your password, you'll need to reinstall the app, which will result in data loss. Consider keeping a secure backup of your password.

Can I backup my journal?

Yes. The best way to backup your journal is to periodically export it as a PDF. This exported PDF can be saved to cloud storage like iCloud Drive, Google Drive, or Dropbox for safekeeping.

How many entries and images can I add?

The app can handle hundreds of entries and images, limited only by your device's available storage. If you have many high-resolution images, consider using the built-in image optimization to reduce storage usage.

Will my formatting be preserved when exporting?

Yes. When you export to PDF, all text formatting (bold, italic, underline), images, and layout will be preserved exactly as they appear in the app.

How do I exit the app securely?

If you have security enabled, you can either:

  • Tap the logout button in the top-left corner
  • Go to Settings and select "Exit App"
  • The app will automatically lock after a period of inactivity
